Do you take custom requests? How do I make one?
I do indeed! Send me an email, and tell me what you’d like. Also, most of my bracelets are adjustable, or made to order, so please do remember to let me know what length you need if you order one.
What materials do you work with?
I work mainly in copper and steel, with some sterling silver pieces. This means I can make pieces that are more affordable for my customers without compromising on quality, as well as allowing me the chance to showcase more unusual metals in my jewellery. Note that the copper I use is untreated, so it will develop a patina with time and exposure to air.
If there’s a piece you like, but you’d prefer it in a different metal, get in touch to discuss a custom order – I’m more than happy to do so, if I can source the materials!
Unless otherwise stated, the standard lobster clasps I use are made from base metals; I can easily swap these if you have skin sensitivities, though, so don’t hesitate to let me know.
Ear wires are sterling silver, copper, or surgical steel. I can swap these without any trouble, so if the earrings you like come by default with one metal and you’d prefer another, just let me know.
I have an allergy to some metals – can you accommodate that?
Of course – if you have a skin sensitivity to some metals, please do get in touch to discuss whether a piece would cause any problems. If I can modify it so that it will be safe for you, I’m more than happy to do so – and if I can’t, I’ll let you know why it’s not possible.
Do you use dyed and treated stones in your work?
Many of the stones for sale online are treated in some way, to bring out the colour of the stone. Common examples of this are the use of dyes and heat to treat stones and emphasise their colour.
Where I know this has happened to the stones I use, I will disclose this in the product listing; however, not all suppliers are as diligent as one might like in passing on this information.
For this reason, you should assume that the stones in pieces you see for sale on this site may be treated to bring out the colour, even if this is not specifically mentioned in the listing.
If it is vital to you that the stones you use be absolutely natural, with no colour treatment, then please do get in touch to discuss before purchase.
Are your prices inclusive of tax? Do they include delivery charges?
Prices shown on this website are inclusive of tax, but exclusive of delivery charges. Delivery charges will be shown to you at checkout, before you make payment, and charges will vary depending on your geographical location.
From time to time, I may offer a time-limited promotion which offers free shipping to your location – this will be indicated on the front page if it is taking place, and may be communicated through my newsletter or other means additionally.
I also accept payment by direct bank transfer, in Euros. Fees that your bank may charge for using this service, including any currency conversion fees if your bank account is in a currency other than Euros, are your responsibility and should not be deducted from the price of the goods purchased.
Please note that I do not ship products until full payment has been received. This can take several days in the case of international bank transfers.
Can I send you a personal cheque for my purchase?
No, I’m afraid I don’t accept personal cheques at this time. Currently I take payments through Paypal, including by debit or credit card, or by direct bank transfer.
Do you take debit/credit cards?
Yes, absolutely. I’m happy to take debit or credit card payments through Paypal – note that your card details are processed securely through Paypal, and I never have access to the card details.
If your purchase is intended as a gift, and you’d like me to ship it directly to the recipient, I’m more than happy to do so. In that case, I can gift wrap – there may be a small charge for this – and I’m very happy to include a message from you, if you’d like. Please note that, if your purchase is being shipped outside the EU, there will be a customs form attached to the outside of the packet which details the contents and the value.
Do you ship internationally?
Absolutely – if you have a post service, I’ll ship there, subject to customs restrictions. If you find you can’t choose your country when you go to check out, please do drop me a quick email so I can fix that for you.
What are customs charges? Who pays them?
Customs charges include duty and excise charges levied by governments on products coming in from outside the country. There is normally a threshold, below which no charge will apply – this varies from country to country. Above this threshold, charges may apply, based on the value of the goods. These are declared on a small green form, attached to the outside of the package, which details the contents and the value of the goods.
There will often also be a handling charge collectable by your mail company, in addition to the duty and excise costs. These are all the responsibility of the buyer, and charged by your government on receipt of goods – please make sure you are aware of any costs you may incur before placing an order.
How long is the average delivery time?
Once your payment has cleared (this may take several days in the case of international bank transfers, but is usually instant with Papypal payments) I will process your order and send it to you.
Delivery times from that point depend on where you are based. Within France, delivery time averages 2-3 days. Within wider Europe, delivery usually takes 4-5 days.
Delivery to the US and Canada usually takes between 1-2 weeks – note that this can take significantly longer, if customs choose this package for a random check, or if there are increased security checks in place, or if postal traffic is very high (for example, in the run-up to Christmas).
What if I get my item and it’s damaged?
If there are any problems, including if your product is broken on arrival, please do get in touch and let me know. I’ll be happy to replace the product, if possible, or issue store credit or a refund, in cases of unique products.
What happens if I don’t like my new purchase? Can I return it?
In the (hopefully unlikely!) event you are unhappy with your product – I know things can look different when you see them in person – please contact me as soon as possible.
I’m happy to issue refunds for items, where you have requested this within 14 days of receipt. Please contact me before returning any items for details of where to return products to. Return shipping must be paid by you.
