This 5-page chainmaille tutorial provides photo-illustrated instructions to create a bracelet in the Helmsweave chainmaille pattern.

This tutorial is targeted at those with some experience of making maille, but the instructions should be clear to absolute beginners – and if you have any questions, I’m only an email away!

This tutorial is provided for personal use only – please do not copy it or send it on to your friends, or resell it. I’d love to see the work you produce as a result, so please feel free to send through any pictures!

This chainmaille bracelet uses large aluminium rings, woven into a classic Half Persian 4 in 1 chainmaille pattern.

Lightweight and comfortable, this bracelet is suitable for men or women, and is fastened with a gunmetal grey lobster clasp.

Aluminium chainmaille bracelet – Jens Pind Linkage

This aluminium chainmaille bracelet uses aluminium rings, joined in the classic Jens Pind Linkage chainmaille pattern.

This chainmaille bracelet measures 19cm (7 1/2 inches) in length and is finished with a dark gunmetal grey lobster clasp. I can shorten this if need be – do let me know if you need a shorter bracelet.

If you need a longer bracelet, do get in touch to discuss a custom order – I am more than happy to make longer bracelets at no extra charge, but will have to order in supplies to fill such an order.

Hammered aluminium and copper wirewrapped earrings

These aluminium and copper wirewrapped earrings use lightweight aluminium wire, hammered for texture and strength, with contrasting copper wire.

The handmade earwires are solid sterling silver.

These large earrings measure just under 6cm (2 1/4 inches) from the top of the sterling silver earwires to the base of the earring and are approx 1.5cm (5/8 inch) wide.

Right, so, hopefully none of you noticed, but I’ve been doing a bit of an upgrade here this last week. It had a couple of teething problems, but thanks to some fabulous IT support, I think it’s been pretty much worked out!

One of the biggest features that the upgrade introduced was gift cards and gift certificates. If you have someone in your life who’s really hard to buy for, or you’ve left birthday/Christmas shopping just a tiny bit too late to take into account shipping times (particularly if you live outside France, as most of the people who buy from me currently do), you can now buy gift cards, delivered instantly after payment to your recipient’s mailbox, so they can choose handcrafted jewellery that they will really love!

New items this week

This week’s new items are some gorgeous sterling silver earrings. Three use amazing handmade lampwork glass beads by Candice Mathewson, and the last pair uses the last of my garnet briolettes, wrapped in sterling silver wire and strung from a thick, secure, sterling silver circle.

The first of the lampwork earrings is being kept for my person collection, I think. At any rate, I’ve not yet decided I can put it up for sale – I love this colour!
